Before I left for the dentist, I made sure to pack 2 slices of whole wheat bread on which I had spread peanut butter, and a banana. I ate it in the waiting room. Toddler was a star in the waiting room, playing with his toys and books and charming everyone in the waiting room and even the staff. But his behavior during the dental treatment was an absolute nightmare. I don,t blame him; the kid is 2 years 9 months old, and he was getting a root canal. It took a long time for him to calm down, but after that he walked home nicely.
On Friday afternoons I always have pizza and fries for lunch. At my next weigh-in I'll discuss with the nutritionist if or how I can incorporate the pizza into my plan. For today, I had my muffin snack at 1:00 when I got home from the dentist, and for lunch, a 1/2 whole wheat wrap, can of tuna, and a big salad from the store with SaladMate dressing. It is going to get very tricky later, because I always have potato kugel before the zman of Shabbos, which is an absolute no no. And I don't see how I can wait until 9:30 to eat supper, when I'm already starving by 6.... I guess I'll do a lot of water and veggies, and one snack to tide me over til the zman.
When I came home from the dentist I sat down to the laptop to update the blog, and whooosh!! I spilled a bottle of flavored seltzer all over the laptop and watched it die in front of my eyes!!!! Nooooooo!!! I ran out to the Computer Store to get a USB keyboard for my tablet, because I can't type much using the touchscreen. Even with the keyboard it is slow and laborious; I keep making typos. I hope the laptop survives the shpritz... if not, I;ll have to get a new one. sigh.
Have a good Shabbos all, and a good diet! It;s not gonna be easy for me, but I hope it will be nmanageable, IYH.
