Man Your Stations! Time to start the Battle of the Bulge...

Today is the day I took the plunge. I actually went for my intake and to set up a food plan. One of the rules of Tanya's program is that you cannot share your diet plan with others. This makes sense; the easiest way to get your ideas stolen and your business tanked is if your customers show your business plan to your competitors. The truth is though that what Tanya's program does is nothing groundbreaking. It's a balanced food plan, with a few twists. By allowing a little more food than the typical diet plans,  you have fewer cravings and won't feel deprived or restricted. By having to eat every 3 hours and never skipping a meal or a snack, your metabolism keeps going. They also have a small line of food, and their muffins are especially popular.
So, I won't be sharing the plan, but I will, bli neder, share what I ate that day. It might give you ideas on how to have a balanced, filling diet and still lose weight. I will also share, if time allows, how my day went and any other stories relevant to my weight loss journey. I don't know if every entry will be scintillating. But hopefully some of them will.
When I weighed myself on the mechanical scale there I was surprised to weigh 7 pounds more than on my home scale, which is the same as the digital scale at the doctor's office. It is almost the most I've ever weighed, a crazy number. So we set a goal of 15 pounds initially for the first 6 weeks. Ideally I'd like to lose 20, but let's not be greedy :).
Today was a crazy day. I was out of the house multiple times and was chasing my tail. I didn't have the time to sit down and put together the menu plan for Wednesday, since I didn't have food in the house. I made a big grocery order at night, buying every single food item on the plan, and enjoyed my last meal of cookies and chocolate, before embarking on the diet for realz....
